Sanmukh Rao Kuppannagari is a James C. Wyant Assistant Professor at the Computer and Data Sciences Department at Case Western Reserve University. Prior to this, he worked as a Senior Research Associate at the University of Southern California (USC). He completed his PhD in 2018 in Computer Engineering from USC. He holds a Bachelor of Technology degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati in Computer Science and Engineering.
His research interests include parallel/reconfigurable computing, combinatorial optimization, approximation algorithms, and AI/ML acceleration. The two broad research areas are classified under AI3 which focuses on accelerating implementations of AI/ML models and AI4Science which focuses on real world applications of AI/ML models in scientific and healthcare domains.
Sanmukh is a PI/Co-PI on several funded National Science Foundation and National Institute of Health awards. He has more than 50 publications in renowned conferences and journals.
Sanmukh Kuppannagari is also an NVIDIA DLI'S North America based ambassador and a certified NVIDIA instructor.
